Electromagnetic fields of point dipoles in the earth-ionosphere waveguide
Description
The authors address the problem of finding the electromagnetic fields excited by dipoles in the waveguide formed by the earth and the anisotropic ionosphere. The solutions to this problem are constructed for a variety of dipoles situated in the waveguide cavity: a vertical magnetic dipole, a horizontal electric dipole, and a horizontal magnetic dipole. The solution is based on applying the principle of transposition duality and the generalized theoerem of reciprocity to the analogous problem for a vertical electric dipole
