Which role will nuclear energy play to decarbonize the Ile-de-France region?
Description
Based on the content of the national convention of the SFEN Ile-de-France held in March 2021, this article first presents this region as a high electric power consumer without any nuclear plant on its territory, outlines the role of low-carbon electric power in the region decarbonization, for example in the transport sector (key importance of public transport, development of the use of hydrogen for vehicles), and in the building sector (development of heat networks, role of the energy regulation in building renovation, development of the use of heat pumps).
