Description

This paper reports on the production of nanosized zirconia-particles by CO2 laser evaporation. Particle diameters down to a few nanometers could be produced by using of short laser pulses and helium as the carrier gas. Vaporization rates, particle diameters and their density distributions were determined in dependence on the experimental parameters. (orig.)
