Inverse Higgs phenomenon in a scalar theory

Creators

  • 1. Pennsylvania Univ., Philadelphia (USA). Dept. of Physics

Description

A hidden U(1) gauge symmetry is shown to be dynamically generated in an interacting SU(N,1) scalar theory. This mechanism is exactly the inverse process of the ordinary Higgs phenomenon in gauge theory. (orig.)
