Solidification material and solidification method for radioactive iodine
Description
The water-hardening solidification material of the present invention comprises from 50 to 100wt% of a water-hardening inorganic compound and the balance of a mixture comprising blast furnace slug and fly ashes. The method of solidifying radioactive iodine is to bring each of the solidifying materials into contact with the radioactive iodine in the solution to adsorb and remove radioactive iodine in the solution. With such procedures, the radioactive iodine can be stored in a stable form for a long period of time with less leakage of adsorbed iodine. (T.M.)
