Description
Participation in the E802 Experiment, which is the first major heavy-ion experiment at the BNL-AGS, is the main focus of this paper. The emphasis of the E802 experiment are on accurate particle identification and measurements of spectra over a wide kinematical domain (5 degree < θ < 55 degree, p < 20 GeV/c) and measurements of small-angle two-particle correlations, with event characterization tools: multiplicity array, forward and large-angle calorimeters. Data taking with the present device is almost completed and is expected to be finished in the fall of 1989
