A Canonical Ds Spectrum

  • 1. Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh PA 15260 (United States)

Description

Quark mass dependence induced by one loop corrections to the Breit-Fermi spin-dependent one gluon exchange potential permits an accurate determination of heavy-light meson masses. Thus the Ds(2317) is a canonical c s-bar meson. Good agreement is also obtained with the properties of two recently announced Ds mesons identified as Ds0(2860) = c s-bar (2P) and D*s(2700) = c s-bar (2S; 3S1)
