μ-SR-spectroscopy on light neutral muonic atoms
Description
In the past few years μ-SR-spectroscopy has been successfully applied to the simple muonic atoms, namely muonic helium: Heμ-e-. Here the theoretical and experimental progress in understanding this atomic system consisting of a nucleus, a muon and an electron is reviewed. The various effects contributing to the ground state hyperfine structure are explained. The experiments are described and are compared with the theoretical calculations. (Auth.)
