Limiting temperatures of medium mass nuclei
Creators
- 1. Texas Univ., College Station (USA)
Description
A limiting temperature of ∼ 6 MeV is found for α emission from medium mass nuclei having excitation energies of 2 to 4.5 MeV/nucleon. This result is consistent with model predictions for a ''cracking'' phase transition
