A simple and inexpensive means of intensifying 32P autoradiographs

  • 1. CEA Centre d'Etudes Nucleaires de Saclay, 91 - Gif-sur-Yvette (France). Lab. de Radiobiologie

Description

Intensifying screens for macroscopic autoradiography have been prepared from a fibre-glass type support and a fluorescent compound: 2,5-diphenyloxazole. The intensification factor obtained is proportional to the PPO mass fixed per cm2 of support. For 31 mg/cm2 fixed, the intensification factor for 32P is 7.6. (author)
