Description
A β ray telescope has been made with a thin plastic scintillator, a thick BaF2 crystal and an RCA 8850 photomultiplier. Measurements of a 90Sr-90Y β ray source together with a 22Na γ ray source show that this telescope can record a fairly good β spectrum of 90Sr and reduce interference of γ rays from 22Na by more than 97%
