Description
An interactive PC Windows program (DRIFTAP) has been developed for Environment Canada for generating surface current information using positional data from drifting buoys for input to oil spill models. The interactive feature provides extensive control over input data editing, file access, viewing or printing of gridded and non-gridded velocities. All data is geo-referenced and can be displayed under several map projections. Faster execution time and the addition of a grid and mask graphical editor are being planned to improve the efficiency of the program. 7 refs., 5 figs
