The nonequilibrium state of a superconductor with excess quasiparticles at field emission

  • 1. Russian Acad. of Sci., Ekaterinburg (Russian Federation). Ural Div.

Description

An analysis of the kinetics of the electron subsystem of a superconductor based on a model with a phonon thermostat shows that the nonequilibrium state with excess quasiparticles of a superconducting thin-film cathode that appears at field emission changes the superconducting properties of the cathode as compared to the equilibrium state. The dependence of the superconducting gap on the intensity of the emissive source of the nonequilibrium quasiparticles has been obtained. (orig.)
