Investigation into kinetics of obtaining sodium and ammonium sulfate zirconates
- 1. Moskovskij Inst. Stali i Splavov (USSR)
Description
The kinetics of the process of sodium and ammonium sulfate zirconates precipitation is studied. The following optimum conditions of their separation are determined: ZrO2 concentration in sulfate solution (with αsub(s)=2.0) is 200 g/dm3, the quantity of precipitator-sodium (ammonium) chloride-is 3.5 mole per 1 mole ZrO2, the temperature is 90 deg C, the duration of mixing is 1 hr. It is established that the process of precipitation of sulfatozirconates is within the kinetic region. The average values of activation energy constitute 40 and 50 kJ/mol for sodium and ammonium sulfate zirconates respectively
