Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons in soil and plants. A contribution to the assessment of hazards from land contamination. Vol. 1. Methods of analysis
Description
The assessment of environmental hazards emanating from a group of pollutants presupposes, inter alia, knowledge of their quantities. To establish these requires a reliable analytical method for the qualitative and quantitative determination of the groups of organic pollutants to be investigated. In the case of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons the task set was to develop methods permitting to reliably determine PAH concentrations in soil and plants routinely. (orig.)

Die Abschaetzung der von einer Schadstoffgruppe ausgehenden Umweltgefaehrdung setzt u.a. die Kenntnis der vorhandenen Mengen voraus. Ihre Ermittlung erfordert ein zuverlaessiges analytisches Verfahren zur qualitativen und quantitativen Bestimmung der jeweils interessierenden Gruppe organischer Schadstoffe. Im Falle der polycyclischen aromatischen Kohlenwasserstoffe galt es, Methoden zu entwickeln, die es im Routineeinsatz gestatten, zuverlaessig die PAK-Konzentrationen in Boeden und Pflanzen zu ermitteln.
