Collector sensitivity - a source error in 15N isotopic analysis
Creators
- 1. Queensland Univ., St. Lucia (Australia). Dept. of Agriculture
Description
Isotopic enrichment measurements on 15N are made with a Nier type double collector system. These measurements indicate that a change in collector sensitivity can occur, producing errors in the absolute isotopic content and the enrichment value. Corrections for relative collector sensitivity must be made to give accuracy and precision in double collector isotope ratio measurements. (B.D.)
