Search for ternary oxides of sodium, iron(3), and niobium(5)

  • 1. Rostovskij Gosuniversitet (Russian Federation)

Description

Phase formation in system Na2O-Fe2O3-Nb2O5 at 850-1320 deg C has been studied for the first time by the X-ray diffraction method. A new ternary oxide, i.e. 2Na2O · Fe2O3 · 49Nb2O5, has been revealed. Isobaric-quasiisothermal cross sections of the phase diagram at 1000-1100 deg C and 1 atm. have been constructed. The absence of compounds structurally related to sodium titanates and metallotitanates in the system is shown
