Comparative study of dense plasma state equations obtained from different models of average-atom

This research thesis addresses the influence of temperature and density effects on magnitudes such as pressure, energy, ionisation, and on energy levels of a body described according to the approximation of an electrically neutral isolated atomic sphere. Starting from the general formalism of the functional density, with some approximations, the author deduces the Thomas-Fermi, Thomas-Fermi-Dirac, and Thomas-Fermi-Dirac-Weizsaecker models, and an average-atom approximated quantum model. For each of these models, the author presents an explicit method of resolution, as well as the determination of different magnitudes taken into account in this study. For the different studied magnitudes, the author highlights effects due to the influence of temperature and of density, as well as variations due to the different models
Abstract (French)
L'objet de cette etude est l'influence des effets de temperature et de densite sur les grandeurs telles que presssion, energie, ionisation et sur les niveaux d'energie d'un corps decrit dans l'approximation de la sphere atomique isolee electriquement neutre. En partant du formalisme general de la fonctionnelle densite, sur les termes de laquelle nous avons fait differentes approximations, nous en avons deduit les modeles de Thomas-Fermi, Thomas-Fermi-Dirac, Thomas-Fermi-Dirac-Weizsacker et un modele quantique approche atome-moyen. Pour chacun de ces modeles, nous avons donne une methode explicite de resolution ainsi que la determination des differentes grandeurs prises en compte dans notre etude.
