Experimental study of the contamination of Zea Mays sprayed with water containing radiostrontium and radiocesium

Description
The consequences of using water potentially contaminated by 90Sr and 137Cs for the irrigation of maize are studied; the following points are addressed: absorption by the plant and distribution of these two radionuclides in the various organs depending on the method of water supply. In particular, the relationships between the contamination levels of the water and those of the maize organs are specified.

Les conséquences de l'emploi pour l'irrigation du maïs d'une eau éventuellement contaminée par le 90Sr et le 137Cs sont étudiées; les points suivants sont traités : absorption par la plante et distribution dans les différents organes de ces 2 radionucléides en fonction du mode d'apport de l'eau d'arrosage. En particulier, les rapports entre le taux de contamination des eaux et celui des organes du maïs sont précisés.Additional details
