Description
A new type of radiochromic films for low dose irradiation was developed at our lab. The films irradiated by γ-rays turn blue from pink. Under 5-50 Gy irradiation, absorbency of the main absorption peak has linear relationship with the absorbed dose. On account of the sensitization effect of the coagent reagent in the film preparation, the radiochromic response range and sensitivity of the films could be adjusted by concentration of the coagent reagent. In consideration of good in-batch uniformity (the deviation with average <3%) and inter-batch uniformity (the deviation with average <5%) that the films have, the radiochromic films could serve to measure the absorption dose of γ-rays as a radiochromic films dosimeter.
