Description

Because of its high thermal conductivity the super fluid helium represents an ideal cryogenic fluid for a large number of different applications. In the last few years the interest increased in developing new methods to obtain powerful magnetic fields and stable magnets. These research activities enhance new technologies for the super fluid helium flowing through the superconducting magnets internal channels. Therefore, along with other applications, for super fluid helium we need to know, in detail, the heat and mass transfer phenomena. The experimental model of cryostat developed in this paper can be used for study the turbulence of super fluid helium, in order to obtain information on the interaction of the turbulence in case of high flow rate of super fluid helium.
