Magnetic excitations in halogen-bridged nickel complex, [Ni(chxn)2Br]Br2

Description
We performed inelastic neutron scattering experiments on [Ni(chxn)2Br]Br2. Magnetic excitations peaked at 6 meV were observed at the magnetic zone center at 5 K, also, integrated intensity including quasielastic scattering showed a maximum at 35 K. These properties are consistent with the spin-Peierls state
