Description
The radon concentrations in underground buildings in some coastal cities were surveyed by using solid state nuclear track detector (SSNTD's) CR-39. The results show that Fuzhou has the highest radon concentration and Shanghai has the lowest. The radon concentration has seasonal variation, and the highest radon concentration appears in summer and the lowest appears in winter. In summer, the ratio of the radon concentration to that in a whole year has better relation with its relative standard deviation, so the higher the radon concentration of a city is, the more influence by the higher radon concentration cities it gets.
