Description
The applicability of the equations of Foreman et al. and Kelly was studied by correlating the observed shear stress values to those calculated from distributions of the MC-carbides after different tempering treatments. The relationship between impact properties and interparticle spacings of the MC-carbides was also studied. Quantitative microscopy was applied to other microstructural features in order to ascertain their possible contributions to the strengthening
