Decay into strange baryon-antibaryon pairs and an I-spin determination of the psi(3095)
Description
Data are given for PSI(3095) decay into Λ anti Λ, and some evidence is shown for the channels Σ anti Σ and possibly Ψ anti Ψ. The final states Σ anti Σ and Ψ anti Ψ are ambiguous with Λ anti ΛX0, for example, Λ anti Λπ0. The decay PSI(3095) → Λ anti Λ is of particular interest because the Λ anti Λ pair is in a pure I = 0 state. It is shown that this decay proceeds directly rather than through an intermediate γ, and thus one obtains a determination of the isospin of the PSI(3095). (JFP)
