Reduction of trimcoil power and phase deviation in superconducting cyclotrons
Creators
- 1. Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre, Calcutta (India)
Description
In a superconducting cyclotron the main magnetic field is generated by using two main coils viz. α- and β- coils and the iron structure. In this work the field due to various heights of the α- and β- coils has been investigated in order to find the right combination which reduces the trim coil power. In this process the phase deviation of the particles during acceleration also becomes small
