Description
Nude mice bearing human ovarian carcinoma xenografts were treated with 90Y-labeled monoclonal antifibrin antibody Fab fragment. The radioantibody was given intratumorally 4-7 times every 2-3 days. The survival time versus saline treated control group was significantly longer (p < .001) and also tumor growth was decreased. Another group of animals was treated with 90Y-labeled OC 125 monoclonal antibody; these mice received the therapy dose either intratumorally or intraperitoneally or intravenously. The survival time was longer in the intratumorally treated group (p < .001). The tissue distribution studies revealed that bone marrow is the critical organ and also that intratumorally injected monoclonal 90Y-antifibrin retains at least 36 hours after one therapy treatment in the xenograft causing cell death. 11 refs., 5 figs
