Phase composition of surface films on aluminium-lithium melts
Description
In order to investigate the mechanism of the Al-Li-Mg melt oxidation, the phase composition of surface films, formed during the smelting of the alloy without admixtures and with the 0.2 % Be admixture, has been studied. It is shown that the introduction of beryllium into the melt helps to reduce the burning out if lithium, following the formation of the BeAl2O4-containing protective film
