Stage II recovery of Pt and Pt alloys after thermal and fast-neutron irradiation
Description
The recovery between 30 K and 400 K of Pt and Pt alloyed with Au and Cu was investigated after thermal and fast-neutron irradiation. The 120 K substage in Pt decreases with increasing defect concentration after thermal and fast-neutron irradiation. Addition of Au or Cu produces different effects in this substage. Stage II recovery substages were observed after addition of Au but not Cu. The observed recoveries could be explained taking into account the concentration of Frenkel defects and impurities present.
