The frequency analysis of low-amplitude delta Scuti stars

Creators

  • 1. Cape Town Univ. (South Africa)

Description

HD 52788 is announced to be a new delta Scuti star. Stromgren and Hβ photometry show that this star is a giant at the red edge of the observed delta Scuti instability strip with probable abundance anomalies. The light variations are complex and a frequency analysis of the present data set is shown to be inadequate. Real variations on a time-scale of 15 to 20 min are claimed. (author)
