Creators

Description

During the OMARR mission, 31 recommendations were made. At present, recommendations Nos. 1, 7 and 23 have been implemented, the remaining recommendations of the OMARR mission will be implemented in stages, after staffing the reactor (71 instead of 50, since the existing staff is already 100% loaded) and with availability of funding. In 2008, IAEA INSARR mission was conducted. During the INSARR mission, operational programs on radiation protection, Safety Analyses Report (SAR) and other documents were discussed and reviewed, and 30 recommendations were given during the mission. At present, the recommendations of the INSARR mission are 90% implemented, recommendations No. 2, 3, and 15 are not implemented. These recommendations will be implemented in stages until 2025. Conclusion: Agency's OMARR mission helped to make deep analyses of reactor operation, to reveal shortcomings in documentation and processes; Implementation of recommendations already led to progress in reactor operation and strengthening safety; Recommendations also lead to more effective ageing management and actions in replacement of old components; Future implementation of all other recommendations of the mission will let our reactor to operate reliably and safely for many years.
