Description
Extraction of 10 elements with n-octylaniline (OA) from hydrochloric solutions has been investigated, and it is concluded that platinum-type matals are extracted much better than Mg, Ca, Na, Zn, Mn etc. Comparison is made between platinum-type metals extraction with octylaniline plus alkylanyline (AA), and with tri-n-octylamine (TOA). TOA is found to be a worse extractor of Ir (3), Rh (3), and Ru (3), than OA, while AA is at least equivalent to OA in terms of extraction ability. The extraction of platinum-type metals has been investigated depending on metal and OA concentration
