Study of the nonreactive potassium scattering with methyl iodide from 0.13 to 1.18eV

  • 1. Technische Univ. Hannover (F.R. Germany). Inst. fuer Technische Chemie

Description

The elastic scattering of potassium by methyl iodide was studied in a wide range of relative energy. The comparison of the experimental results with different physical models shows that the structures observed are caused by the anisotropy of the intermolecular potential and not by the existence of a reaction threshold
