Effect of laser treatment on the structure and composition of plasma-sprayed coatings of Ni-Cr-Si-B system

Description

Effect of continuous CO2-laser treatment on the structure, composition, microhardness of plasma-sprayed coatings of Ni-Cr-Si-B system is studied. The change of the coating chemical and phase composition as compared to initial substrate elements, sprayed due to their alloying, depending on the treatment regime (power introduction) is ascertained. Plasma-sparyed coatings laser treatment allows one to sufficiently improve their adhesion and in combination with high-speed cooling makes it possible to regulate the treatment regimes of structural formation, dispersion, phase formation and, consequently, the forming coating properties
