REWET-II facility for experiments on the loss-of-coolant accident in nuclear reactors
Creators
Description
REWET-II is an experimental facility for studies of the reflood phase during a loss-of-coolant accident. The emphasis is on simulation of the pressurized water reactors in use in Finland. The facility, its scaling principles, main measurements and fuel rod simulators are described. The simulator rods are compared with the real fuel rods by computer. The difference in the behavior of the rods is explained and discussed
