  • 1. Health and Safety Executive, Occupational Hygiene Lab., London NW2 6LN

Description

Recent work is described which has demonstrated the potential of the system for a range of analytes. Two basic designs of diffusive sampler are described and illustrated. Analysis of diffusive samplers by X-ray spectrometry are presented with theoretical diffusive sampler uptake rates charted. Results are given related to calibration curves for Arsine. Detection limits and precision are described. Comparison of factory results with conventional methods for hydrogen sulphide, mercury vapour and halothane are found to agree
