Results of testing the system for fuel can tightness control at the Kola-2 reactor
Description
Peculiarities of the fuel can tightness control(FCTC) system used at the second unit of the Kola NPP with the commercial WWER6 440 reactor are considered. The results of testing the FCTC in which the improved method of energy release distribution overcompensation is used are given. For determination of the failed fuel assembly location a quantitative criterion is used instead of gualitativema estites. As an example the results of determining the location of failed assemblies in a sector of the fifth reactor loop are considered. The data obtained show that application of the loop FTCTC with delayed neutrons and energy release distribution overcompensation gives an opprotunity to decrease the time of FCTC procedure after reactor shutdown by 1.5-2 times. The conclusion is drawn that for further increase of the accuracy of failed assembly location detremination by the overcompensation method it is necessary to develop more perfect algotirithms of overcompensation and methods for data processing
