Description
AMS(Accelerator Mass Spectrometry) is highly sensitive and precise analytical method for quantifying long-lived isotope. It is much more accurate than existing LSC(Liquid Scintillation Counter) and need only micro level of samples. For analysis of low-level C-14 which is detected in environmental samples from the Younggwang nuclear plant, high-sensitive analyzing method is needed, so BAMS(Biomedical AMS) pretreatment line was established. Environmental samples obtained nearby the power plant were analyzed and 99.6% of the results compared with the data analyzed by LSC were agreed
