The importance of fast reactors for the constitution of the nuclear power supply system

The influence of various technological and economical parameters on the structure of an energy supply system with thermal and fast reactors is investigated. The time of the large-scale commercial use of fast breeders and their influence on the natural uranium demand as well as the plutonium supply all play an important part. (UA/AK)

Abstract (German)

Es wird der Einfluss verschiedener technischer und wirtschaftlicher Parameter auf die Zusammensetzung eines Energieversorgungssystems aus thermischen und schnellen Reaktoren untersucht. Dabei spielen der Beginn des kommerziellen Grosseinsatzes von Schnellbruetern, der dadurch beeinflusste Natururanbedarf, sowie die Plutoniumvorraete die wichtigste Rolle. (UA)
