Description
This book presents what has been the biggest scientific equipment ever designed on earth: the LHC (large hadron collider) and its associated experiments (ATLAS, CMS, LHCb and ALICE) that led to the discovery of the Higgs boson in 2012. About 10.000 physicists and engineers from 50 countries have taken part into the project that began in 1989.
