Finding and evaluating potential radiological problems in vicinity properties of inactive milling sites
Description
Monsanto Research Corporation - Mound is under contract with the DOE's Office of Operational Safety to perform radon, radon flux, and radon progeny measurements at inactive uranium mill tailings sites. Both outdoor and indoor measurements are made before, during, and after remedial acton. Results of these monitoring programs are used in the overal certification process required by the Uranium Mill Tailings Act passed by Congress in 1978
