One-dimensional numerical experiment on parametric heating of plasma. Part I

Description

Some results of a one-dimensional numerical experiment on high-frequency plasma heating with an external field of frequency ω0 = 1.005 ω/sub pe/ and amplitude E0√4πn0T/sub eo/ = 1 are presented. The excitation of an aperiodic branch of parametric instability is demonstrated. The effective collision frequency and the proportion of non-Maxwellian electrons are estimated
