Description
In this work, efficiency of the HPGe detector present at Physics lab, AMD, Bengaluru was simulated using MCNP4C2. During the work, efficiency curves for 0 to 2.8 MeV energy were generated for different weight and densities of 0.26% U3O8 and simulated spectra were compared with experimentally generated spectra. Quartz powder was used as matrix since it is generally used to dilute the uranium ore because of its negligible radioactivity
