Synthesis and physical properties of the new iron-arsenic based high-Tc superconductors

Description
A series of oxygen-deficient oxypnictide superconductors, LnFeAsO1-y (Ln: Lanthanide) were synthesized using high-pressure technique. Superconducting transition temperature as high as 54 K is observed for NdFeAsO1-y. The Ln dependence of Tc, external pressure on Tc and crystal structure analysis indicate the strong influence of the crystal structure on the superconducting properties. (author)
