Generation of nodal equivalent homogenized parameters under non-reflective boundary condition for coarse mesh nodal methods

  • 1. Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Shanghai (China)

Description

In order to solve issues of applying today's reflective single assembly homogenization method to problems with strong neutron spectrum interference effects, a reflective color set homogenization method is proposed, and corresponding nodal equivalent homogenized parameters generation method applicable to non-reflective boundary condition is developed. Besides the adoption of color set reflective model to do spectrum calculation, one of the most important characteristics of the proposed homogenization method is that it requires the nodal homogenization process to be fully consistent with the downstream global coarse mesh nodal calculation. Numerical results for 2D C5G7-MOX problem demonstrate that the proposed method works fairly well for problems with strong spectrum interference, like C5G7-MOX problem. Obtained results are comparable to these obtained by direct whole core heterogeneous transport calculation. (authors)
