An atomic vapor laser isotope separation process

Description

A heterodyne laser spectroscopy system as described in GB2197118 is used to determine the spectral components of the atomic vapour. A turnable laser whose beam is coupled into the atomic vapour is swept through a range of frequencies and the resultant beam heterodyned with that from a reference laser. The difference frequency is spectrally analysed to determine the components of the vapour. (author)
