Description
The paper presents the effect of addition of lithium oxide to the structural and superconducting properties of the polycrystalline Y Ba2 Cu3 O7-x. The stoichiometry of the samples is Y Ba2 Cu3 O7-x Liy, y = 0.01; 0.02 and 0.03. The orthorhombic splitting decreases from 0.0173 to 0.0155 with the increase of the lithium content. The morphology of the samples shows the presence of Cu O grains for y = 0.03. The critical temperature diminishes from 89.31 K at y = 0.01 to 87.84 K for y = 0.03, while the lower critical fields remain practically constant close to 6.5 kA/m. The voltage current characteristics shows a power low behaviour: V ≅(I - IC)n. (authors)
