Extraction and recovery of uranium in vanadium extraction process by P204

  • 1. Beijing Research Institute of Chemical Engineering and Metallurgy, CNNC, Beijing (China)

Description

Extraction and recovery of uranium in vanadium extraction process by P204 were investigated. Experimental results show that co-extraction rate of uranium is over 88% in the vanadium extraction process; when vanadium is stripped by sulfuric acid, uranium is stripped less 17%; when extractant is recycled one time, accumulation of uranium into the organic phase is about 50 mg/L. Regeneration efficiency can reach above 75% when treated unloaded organic phase with 200 g/L ANPH solution. Uranium in the sediment of regeneration is dissolved by sodium carbonate leaching, the dissolved solution is precipitate with sodium hydroxide to produce sodium diuranate. (authors)
