Description

Up to recently titanium and zirconium were considered exotic metals. This name was attached to them mainly for the reason that they were used in exotic fields of technology. The wide experience with these metals in the exotic technologies led many people to appreciate their superior properties and to try them out in various mundane technologies. The penetration of these metals into regular industries indicates the beginning of a new phase in spreading their utilisation in many more fields. These metals were introduced into the chemical industry to solve difficult corrosion problems. It is suggested that only industry encountering difficult corrosion problems should look to these metals as a possible solution for their problems
