Advanced fuel design methods and tools at ABB Atom
Description
At ABB Atom a whole new generation of methods and tools for BWR and PWR core physics calculations is taking form. The new system is based on a new library, a new and powerful lattice code, an advanced core simulator, and a completely new work environment based on modern software technologies. The resulting system is the result of several projects done in cooperation with some of the following companies: ABB Combustion Engineering, the Swedish State Power Board, Scandpower Inc., and several utilities in Germany, Switzerland, and the United States. The description concentrates on the new features of the system compared with today's acknowledged standards. (orig.)
