Advanced fuel design methods and tools at ABB Atom

At ABB Atom a whole new generation of methods and tools for BWR and PWR core physics calculations is taking form. The new system is based on a new library, a new and powerful lattice code, an advanced core simulator, and a completely new work environment based on modern software technologies. The resulting system is the result of several projects done in cooperation with some of the following companies: ABB Combustion Engineering, the Swedish State Power Board, Scandpower Inc., and several utilities in Germany, Switzerland, and the United States.
